70 grain projectile will suit 25-26 grains of 2208 in a long throated tikka

I'm using BLC2 with good result. I haven't tried it, but people swear by 2206. There is a thread here somewhere that I started about the topic.

I've loaded my T3 to shoot the 75g Amax. I'm happy to share that load data.

I'm not sure how long the berger pills are compared to the Amax, but the first thing I would do is cut the back out of the mag so you can seat your bullets out a bit.

I'm using 24g of 2206H with a 62mm COAL. Gives me about 2850 fps grouping about 0.65 moa

Jeez Tahr, did you get that surplus from some old Vietnam supplys? Does it burn as dirty as some claim, (not that it matters in a sporter) or is it all good? Cant say I have seen it around lately. I want to try some and maybe 8208 after I run out of BM2.

Apologies to the OP. I dont use projectiles any heavier than 55 grn in my .223 so no help with your question.

used 8208 and 69g Noslers CC bullets when sighting in my newly built AR. best 3 shot group is 12mm so far but only fired 20 shots out of it sighting in so might just be a fluke as I am far from the worlds best group shooter

Yep 100 but have not had time to find out yet if
    a) it was a fluke
    b) it was a fluke
    or
    c) it was a fluke.

load was just one picked out at random with no load development yet.

    Need time to tinker

Be careful, I started with 1 and now have 4!!

My load was 23.3gns of IMR 8208XBR with muron SR primer and 69g Nosler Custom Competition Bullet

However I tried 10 55g Hornady Varmint (lead tipped) projectiles with 24.4gns XBR8208 and result was............................................... ...Shotgun groups. Sure didn't like them

    Barrel is 1-7 twist

    What is the intended use?

    Shooting paper or hunting?

For my 1 in 8 twist Sako 75 I tried all sorts:

    55gn Hornady V-Maxes
    65gn Sierra Gamekkings
    69gn Sierra Matchkings
    75gn Hornady A-Maxes
    80gn Sierra Matchkings

    With 2206h and 2208

In the end I settled on the 65gn GK and 69gn MK.
One for hunting and one for targets, shot to within 0.5" of the same POI.
Both fit mag easily (ie not the A-Maxes), not fussy about seating depth and could shoot less than 0.3" at 100m when I bothered to try.

The 55gn V-Maxes got me my 410m shots on critters, but the 65gn was a better all rounder.
    Welcome to Sako club.
