    284 necked up to 308?

    As above has anyone does this, what's it called? Mate with a 308 barrel toying with options

    Called a 30-284, pretty common, depending on action length may be better to go saum

    It is a good option for more horsepower from a 08 length action while retaining the standard bolt face.

    In theroy it runs around 30-06 speeds but in practice it runs better than that.
