    OK so I've got brass some 150gr hot cores some 2206h and 2209 and a Ruger American with standard length barrel any one got a load that works well for hunting cheers nd

    56.5gr 2209 with a 165gr projectile is a pretty universal accurate load in 30/06. I never shot 150gr in mine. I went up to 60gr 2209 with 130gr Speer HP. Devistating on goats!

    So ball park 2209 with 150gr would be 58-59gr. Work up obviously.

    I run 59 grs (Close to Max) 2209 ( 60 is Max from memory) with the 150gr Noslar Solid Base bullets I currently have. If you go with the 180gr I am loading 57 grs of 2209 which is Max. Drop the charge at least a couple of grains and work up to those loads.
    The 180 gr load groups well, I haven't done a good test with the 150 gr but would be ok for normal hunting ranges. Only way to find out is load some up and shootem.
