    Load for t3 varmint 1 in 8 223

I was wondering if any body on the forum has got a good accurate load for this rifle that will run about 1/2 moa.
I Prefer adi powders and hornady projectiles as easy to get most of the time.
    Cheers Andy

Lol I forgot about ringing you the 223 god!
Never owned a 223 as have had the big brother for a few years.
The cartridge just doesn't look like it can hold enough powder!

Yes definitely, the 60g v-max like the 60g nosler ballistic Tip has a hard thick base which gives it good penetration on realistically angled shots into the vitals.

Neck sizing only gives your brass extra capacity

6mmbr website has a page in the menu dedicated to the 233 and has a chart of the worlds brass in order of most internal capacity to the least

Proper brass selection, neck sizing only and seated out projectiles can give you reasonable case capacity -and the right combo with 2208 powder can get 3200fps with a 60 grainer.

2206H can give a useful boost with ammo of a shorter over all length

The 52 amax and 55g gameking are good projectiles, they are shorter than the 60g as well which further increases powder capacity

The difference being 1/2 a grain of 2206H

Which is quite a bit, often 100 fps when up at a full case

You already know to work your way up to this level of performance looking for the usual pressure signs

    50gr z or a max
    Adi brass
    2206h 26.5gr (need a drop tube)
    15 thou jump
    Fed 205 primer.
    3400 fps.

Usual safety warning work up to it.

Which of bm2 or 2206h would be denser and make the most of the limited capacity? Or are they much of a muchness? I have two loads using 2206h, but I'm told bm2 will go better through my Lyman 55 than the yuk crunch of the 2206h so keen to have a play

What are you shooting? Targets? Small or large animals?

    I have a 1:7 Savage Model 12 .223 with 26" barrel.
For target shooting I load 24.7 gr 2208 in Norma cases with 80 gr A-Max projectiles.
Good out to 800 yards, up to 1000 in light winds.

Hornady 60grn. Vmax and 60grn. HP are both great accurate bullets . . . Vmax is spectacular on Goats/Fallow but a little pricey - the HP is cheaper and just as accurate with the same POI out to 400 as the Vmax with my .223 - brilliant on Hares at longrange

I shot 55gn Blitzkings with ADI 2206h through mine.

Never tried anything else, as moved back to a lighter sporter.

75 grain Amax and 24.5 grians of 2206 in mine.

1/2" 5 shot groups and no problems at either end of the system. I had to lengthen the mag box to get the projectiles out near the lands though.
