    I would like to try the 225gr in my 300H&H, wonder how fast, I can push them, 2750 ish, at a guess, and perhaps the .264 win mag with 147gr,

    Are you using a 1 in 10 twist?

    as 1 in 9 is possibly needed for the 225 grainer
    A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
