    steel hulls

    can anyone tell me if steel hulls can be reloaded with lead for target shooting . that is shotgun hulls.

    if you mean the cheep steel, base hulls, yes, you can but the plastic doesn't re crimp well, and if you are roll crimping, likley not due to the type of plastic.
    you wont get very many uses before failure. cheep hull for reloading are a waste of time.
    steel base hulls will need a resier after a couple of uses, i use mec sizemaster press in 12, 16, 20 ,28, as resize and deprime at same time.
    16, 28ga can be reloaded cheep than factory, 12ga and 20ga no real savings, but its fun to experiment.
    winchester AA hulls can be reloaded over a dozen times with target loads.
    hot hunting loads make the plastic brittle very quickly, due to the bigger powder charge and slower burn, hull mouth is exposed to more heat.
