    Suppressor / Barrel length / Velocity ?

Just trying to work out approx velocity. I have found a on line calculator where you can work it out ( approx ) but suddenly thought although my barrel has been cut down I am running a suppressor .
So question is does the suppressor get regarded as part of the barrel length or is it just the actual barrel and ignore the suppressor ?

Suppressor could be a plus or minus velocity.

If you ask @Savage1 nicely and pay for shipping you can borrow my chrony.

Yep, just barrel length, supressor or brake make no difference.

Suppressor makes a bit of a difference, about +50fps for a gunworks one.

Indeed. The suppressor does help but only a little and not anywhere near what barrel length does. Chrony is the best way but some of the suppressor manufacturers should be able to give you an approximate estimate.

Maybe it only applies to shorter barrels as the velocity (pressure) of the gas is higher at the start? Not sure.

My 50bmgs don't go any faster with the suppressor but man the recoil goes through the roof, even with 6.85 kgs hanging off the front of it....

Philipo will be pleased to hear the Steyr claimed another victim last weekend

My Barnard claimed its first eyebrow, with blood too, not mine either

Not over a crono but shooting 140gr interlocks through my kimber 6.5 creedmoor with a factory 18" barrel, the point of impact rises by 2" with a gunworks supp on.

So I might add 50 fps, must add something although the diameter is bigger than the barrel it's still a restricted tube

I've seen that pic before and I honestly thought it was a photoshop! I cracked up when you reloaded the suppressor one for another shot and you can stil hear the previous shot echoing!!!
