farmland, riverbeds and steep bush sounds like lace up rubber ashley country to me......and when first pair wears down in the sole...burn some drainage holes in them for river work when its high and you going to be wet from get go.

yep skellerup bullers for me. Cheep, good grip, comfortable,
Waterproof, Snazzy looking, good quiet stalking boot. I also like that fact that there is not an excessive amount of support around the ankles. Helps to build up stronger ankles.

I've been enjoying the Grisport Hunter Pro. They are light compared to the other boots I've seen on the shell.

The first pair lasted me just over 2.5 years. They were never treated with grease and I use to dry them in front of the fire place. I still use them around the house and do my dog walks in them, I fully intend to use them in the coming bird season too until they fully give up. I just bought my second pair and I'm quite happy with them. I find they need breaking in a little, once your foot beds in nicely they are great. The other Grisport shoes didn't qutie appeal to me that much, either they were too heavy or they had too much padding that will hold water.

However I am very keen to give the Skellerp Buller a try with some puttees.
