    First succesful hunt

Got my first goat on the weekend. hit the road at 530. Into the bush in time to watch the sun come up. Had a good walk around spooked a couple goats nd got to watch em dissapear into the supplejack hell. Bout 1030 sat down for a bite to eat, started to hear the bushes rustling then seen some fur moving through the bush. Waied till we had a good look at them. Choose a nice looking one to come home for dinner and bang. Hi5s all round. Gutted her out nd sorted her into a makeshift backpack. Decided to have a go at getting my hunting buddy his first goat aswell. Headed in the direction the mob went and where back onto them within 10 minutes. Handed my mate the rifle nd made sure he remembered to place his shot well. Down goes goat number 2. Sorted her out aswell nd headed back to the truck in time for lunch. Felt bloody awesome just to see our first wild animals n the bush and was bloody amazing for us both to get something. hooked for life i rekon. Cant wait to get out after my first deer now. A big thank you to carpe diem for pointing us in the right direction, you're a bloody legend and i beleave i may owe you a beer or two.

On ya boys... Not a bad wee spot eh.. Just what you need to get ya going..and a bit of meat for the pot.

You'll usually smell or hear the bleats before you see em. Move nice and slow and quiet and keep an eye out for fresh Jellybeans and prints you'll never believe what's in there...
