It is hard to imagine how tough the environment is, it is so dry. I believe it is technically is a desert. Hats off to the guys that call this place their home.

Do it whilst you still can, you get a lot of bang for your buck with this hunt, the moose and whitetail in USA would cost A LOT more than this adventure!!

Let me know if you want more info RE booking a trip like this.

We ate ibex for lunch and dinner everyday, it was lovely. A strong tasting lamb/mutton. It wasn't tough like I imagine a 9 year old animal would taste. We had soups, broths, steaks, stews. We ate it cold off the bone with bread. I would be more than happy to eat it again!!

Thoroughly enjoyed reading of your success.
Thanks for your comments, I dream of a NZ mountain hunt for thar, chamois and deer.

Thanks mate I will give it some thought and pick your brains at a later date.
The biggest cost for me doing a moose and whitetail is getting them home. I have citizenship and good contacts on my side to hunt Canada.
Just have to get off my ass. Was supposed to be there now but work got in the way. Hopefully no excuses next year.

Without a shadow of a doubt the best trip report I have read.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

Flights are 2 grandish so depending on the cost of the hunt it could be quite a cheap trip.
