Read the article in the Waikato Times yesterday and it said that the cops put up the photos in the local sports shop and within a week the cameras got stolen. Also said that he got a plate number but cops said there's no proof they were poaching.

The police and farmers have set up an anti-poaching scheme in Waitaki and busted a guy from Oamaru poaching on Omarama Station. Issued a 2 year trespass from 127 farms around waitaki and central Otago. He'll probably loose his FAL too.

Trespass notice issued under police scheme | Otago Daily Times Online News : Otago, South Island, New Zealand & International News

Luckily for him, he wasn't wearing brown paper underpants or he would have been done for rustling too

Give the bastards some 3" target load and he will be to busy plucking pellets out of his arse to poach
If god didn't want us to eat animals he wouldn't have made them out of food.

We all abhor these pricks and no one would like five minutes with them more than I but I caution against arbitrary vigilantism. Dealing with this is very much the domain of the Police.

"Poaching" forestry blocks etc is one thing (still don't agree with it), but thieves walking onto private farm and doing that shit makes me see red

Any lawful occupier can trespass anyone they like from their property, no reason needed. So it's not really anything much worse than a bus ticket slap. Sigh.

I guess voicing our detest of poachers is a good thing though? Might help spread the word to the next generation of hunters that it's really not an okay thing to do.
