I do belong to the ada but just for political reasons.

As Oldbloke said, it's not NZ here. A quick google search will show you news articles of what happens when you're caught doing the wrong thing. Confiscation of vehicle, guns etc. and decent fines.

People can do as they please but be aware of the risks.
