16 gauge under lever hammer gun project

Made by James Burrow, a higher end Lancreshire gun maker. Circa 1870s.

30 inch Damascus barrels, forget exact bore measurements - it has had a skim but still within spec. Bottom rib is loose near muzzle.

Stock is dark figured, broken and repaired at wrist.

Action locks up tight, needs new strikers. features game scene engraving which is unusual for a gun of this age. Still see remains of gold inlay on the trigger guard.

Comes with a box of the correct shorter ammo for it, not sure about it came with the gun.

Good idea, let's make it an informal online auction! All offers welcome. Fix the rib and turn some strikers for it, you'll be shooting it the next day

Terrible pics, I'm sorry. Out of interest I weighed it, 2800g on the dot so just over 6 lbs. Its its so light and points like an extension of your arm. Those old timers knew about fit and balance.
