    Holy snapping turtles, that suppressor is HUGE.

    It's how you use it, not the size that counts (so I'm told).

    Mmmmmm - if the thread wasn't so small (9/16"), I might have been interested in the suppressor only. What $$ did you have in mind for the suppressor only?

    9/16 is what a lot are using for 30 cal. Some were using 12 unf until they thought about how much metal was left between the bottom of the thread and the bore.......Go much bigger than 9/16 and a lot of barrels dont have enough thickness to provide a good shoulder. If the barrel is thick enough in profile, go for as large a diameter thread as you can and still retain a decent shoulder...

    Thanks for the engineering lesson @timattalon. .
    I've got a suppressor with M18 x 1 thread for one of my FTR rifles. Was looking for another, for a different project.
    This one looks like it might do the job now, hence the enquiry of @madjon_ about $$ for suppressor alone
    I'll go back to a , while he decides what he wants to do.
