I form 7x64 brass by running 25-06 or 270 brass through 7x64 dies, a trim of the case mouth and it's done

    Done a few now

Thanks Andrew, how do you get on with the extended shoulder on the 7x64?

Fire forming sharpens it up and sorts it

Hand load your new ammo so your projectiles jamb the rifling lands 5 thou, this keeps the brass head on the bolt face

lightly lube the brass at the shoulder with redding sizing way, this allows the brass to flow and form easily - fired brass will come out perfect

Average load of powder, not a light load and not a full throttle load.

Use the same weight projectile that you intend to use for hunting

Often the accuracy you get with fireforming loads can be very good, great for target or gong shooting

I've 200 PPU, 120+ Honady and 50ish Remington cases, what would you recommend using?

Workshop innovation has Norma 7x64 brass, at least they did a little while ago. Not that expensive compared to other calls really.

Have played with .270 cases, but not sure it's worthwhile when you can buy Norma off the shelf...

How are you off for data? It's a bit patchy in this part of the world, but I've done a bit of collecting up stuff from various sources if you're in need?

The Norma stuff is nice, I wouldn't go back now.
