    Ruger .308 Gunsite Scout. Stainless

Thought I would post it up on here before going on trademe.

Haven't used this since buying my bow.

Tough as hell stainless .308 Ruger Gunsite Scout. $1250 O.N.O

Has been well looked after, rifling is mint. There are a few little rub marks on the stock and pad, nothing dramatic.

    As in pic:
    Includes 2x 10 shot 1x 3 shot mags.
    Stainless 1" Ruger rings
Some spare inserts for extending the stock.

Barrel has been threaded for a Hardy suppressor.
    Trigger has been tickled up.

Not sure what else to about it, will answer any questions you have about it. can supply more pics if needed.

I have seen this in the flesh and its a lovely wee rifle. Shoots straight and consistently.

Great wee rifles, mine shot just under MOA with Black Hills match ammo, and almost as good with factory hunting ammo, all in the 165-180 grain range

Yeah they are a cool little rig, always planned to mount nice tactical scope on the forward rail but never did. I tried a few different types and it liked the Belmont 130grain, 180 S&B seemed to run really well through it too. never had time to practice with hand loads. must say I am surprised at how much the 10shot mags are worth

Yep, they were originally planning to make them accept M14 mags, but decided instead on the Accuracy International style single stack mags, same as the Ruger Precision I believe, as well as AI themselves

From what I gather to get the bolt action to work with M14 or STANAG mags there needs to be a scoop/rake type mechanism put on the bolt which does not rotate with the bolt to scoop/feed a round out of the magazine.

Makes sense, the Mossberg MVP which takes AR-15 mags has the weird scoop bit sticking out the bottom of the bolt head

The polymer mags are way better than the steel ones. It feels like you have to force the last 4 rounds into
    the steel 10 shot ones.

Almost, its sits nice and snug but the thicker part of the base protrudes from the bottom. can add a pic of it if you want.
