    WTB .22 scope

I have a 4x32 that came with my Marlin .22 and want a scope with mil dots or similar, and a bit more power.
Was looking at a Nikko Stirling Mountmaster 3-9x40AO which is $150. Is this any good for someone that doesn't really shoot too often? Anyone got something that would suit what I am after that they have sitting around for a good price?
    Cheers
    Daniel

Duckdog is selling a Nikko Stirling 3-9 x 40 GameKing
Good scope by all accounts and $100 shipped will see you right!

Agreed on the above message. Usually a Nikko Mountmaster with AO will be around the $140 mark including a set of reasonable heavy duty rings. If you have rings then I would suggest a few extra dollars for a Nikko Airking which is similar to the mountmaster but has a slightly finer reticle (Mil dot) and is that wee bit better. Both will be a big improvement on your 4x32. We usually fit the Mountmaster AO to the Toz 22s when we sell them as they partner up with great results.

I would rank the Mountmaster as a better choice than the game king if I had to pick but I have had success with the Game kings too. and $100 is pretty good value.

Thanks guys for the replys. Yes I saw Duckdog's Gameking, wasn't too sure about the parallax so was going for the adjustable. Does it even matter?

Parallax doesn't matter for a 22 or any other rifle at modest magnification. It just adds complexity weight and another twiddly bit that you end up hardly ever using.

Hi @Glycerine, I haven't found a new one yet. The one on the Marlin was some cheap Back Country thing (I think) worth approximately nothing so will just give it away if someone wanted it.
