Not necessarily, generally has thinner necks & consistency can be average with the cases I've used, haven't had anything to do with Bruces 7mm wsm brass though to be fair.

Some BB brass has a large head outside diameter and because of that it cant expand as much in a saami chamber (and loosen primer pockets)

Some confuse the tight primers with acceptable pressure and erroneously tip in more powder.

Often the extra brass in the head reduces the cases powder capacity, which reduces max velocity compared to other brands.

The end result is you often get ejector hole marks stamped on the brasses bolt face before you get the velocity the chambering is capable of.

Ie; you get results like the softest Norma/Nosler brass

I had Bruce make a lot of 338 Edge and other 338 brass, i cancelled a large order of 7 mmsaum brass after working with the first two orders.

If you ring bruce and get brass made be very specific on the dimensions you want to minimise the negatives, and you can get your name or any insignia as a headstamp for an extra $300.

    Nah, rem mag hoses it

The only reason a wsm surprises is the extra inch of rifling the short cartridge gives you, which translates into extra velocity, great in shorter barrels.

For example If you put a wsm in a 22 inch tube (19.5 inches of rifling)

And a rem mag in a 23 inch tube (19.5 inches of rifling) the rem mag wins the velocity competition

Its the same reason behind the saums success in short tubes

At the end of the day all calibre's and chambering's are fun/cool

    Except the 270

I've had a couple, great calibre. ran amaxs in both, a 23 inch tube got speeds up to 3100, but backed it off to around 3000 I think it was. And a 26 inch tube that I ran at 3140 no problem. compared to my rem mag which maxed out at 2950 in a 24 inch tube

I shot the barrel out on the 23 inch one and currently swapping 26 barrel onto that. It's a browning TI so makes use of the shorter action length
