Forgive my ignorance but what is the significance of items being under US$100 when importing from the states?

It's a limit at which the US exporter will then require more paperwork and will roll the cost on to you.

Cheers for that. Saw those Geissele triggers on there for $200 odd. Thought they might be good, but with the hundred buck rule, maybe not.

Yep, it soon becomes a $200 trigger plus $230 export permit and $20 postage.

If it's for an A-cat AR, then yes. If it's for an E-cat AR, you need a permit. Pays to have at least one A-cat lower to avoid needing a permit for every little part.

Per order, but there are exemptions. Some items require an export permit no matter the value, even if under $US100, such as barrels.

Thanks guys. Ordered the edt3. The Xmas presents you buy yourself are always the best ones.

Tell that to my wife, She thought she was getting a $1900 present, until I brought out a wrapped up PSA 9mm AR15 from myself to me
