    ARGH !!! stinky bum

well I just got back from GC in wellywood , and bought a picatinny rail riser to fit my scope to my NEA , they only had one from an opened packet ,, no paperwork with it , got it for $90 , ... good deal , no problem there ... however when I go to put it on the nea it is cockeyed to one side and lookinh at it , it doesn't quite fit the profile of the rail on the nea , ... could I have got a weaver one instead? ... is the weaver profile similer ? or is it a cheap pos that was manufactured by a short drunk south African (sorry ebf) no markings on it , .... I guess I can take it back ... but that's all the stinkin way in welly , .......I don't really know if there is even a question in this post

Take it back and tell them it doesn't fit, see what they say. Sounds like it could be designed for a weaver.

Another vote for taking it back, legally they have the option of replacing it with one that works before they have to give your $ back.
But I would try for your $ back and then do as Banana suggests as the cheep mounts with a bolt upgrade have worked well for me.

A lot of the Chinese rails are not 'Pattern' MIL STD 1913 because the slots are not wide enough. This can be a huge pain in the botty. Also, quality varies so much between manufacturer. They are cheap at $12, but waiting for delivery can take a while, which is fine as long as the rail isn't a load of bollocks when it arrives.
