Numerous rumours of them having consent issues in the future.
Care to elaborate on those numerous rumours please.

Exactly that, rumours. The club has a very good relationship with the Waikato District Council, and noise checks are held regularly.

The club is in the process of purchasing the land outright.

That's great news it's just been the banter overheard and discussed at various ranges.

Maybe times have changed, I went to Universal Shooting Academy at Frostproof, Florida. No extra documentation required, mind you it was straight after the US IPSC Nationals. Me, a Yank and a South African, in our class, over 2 x days.

They had an old Huey helicopter on a trailer, apparently used in floats and parades as well as some comps.

Let's start a petition to get Chris Costa down to run a weekend course, I've always thought something like that would be pretty fun to do.

Well Sean did organise Ben Stoeger to come down for pistol training courses last year. Think there were @45-50 attendees in the end over 4 locations, worked out @$600+ per person for the day, plus @1,000 rounds. The biggest challenge could be organising appropriate licensing for Costa/any shooter to shoot the AR.

Yeah licensing for the main attraction would be the initial hurdle. I would think if you could get a few local industry cool guys excited about the idea it could potentially be a go, supplying gear wouldn't be an issue. $500-600 wouldn't be too offensive.
