I went ahead and bought Harris S-BRM Model. Question regarding dismounting the Bipod, how do you easily take it off the stud? Have to wedge this thing apart with fingers to fit it on/off the stud Name: bipod.jpg

Make sure the screw on the bottom is wound out as far as you can (without actually removing it) and then give it a bit of a twist as you pull it off the sling stud.

And definitely get the locking lever! Mine just arrived today from Craftys and fitted like a charm!

It just locks the swivel doesn't it? I thought we can do that via the knob at the back

A pod lock allows for quick loosening and FIRM resetting of the bipod to restore the rifle to a level position on uneven ground without tools. In effect it is a replacement nut with a built on crank handle.

With a Harris there is no way you can finger tighten the nut on the back to stop it moving. You need the podlock.
With bipod height Shawn Carlock recommended the lower the better. I use a 6-9", but there have been times when higher would have been better.

Yes the lock arm replaces the licking nut-which you can never get tight!

Sounds like you need both. Personally, I have 6-9's plus shooting sticks which are very versatile and lightweight.
