    Boyds' Rapid fire screw up

I thought I'd scored the deal of the month with a Vanguard short action stock for my Howa @ $ 192.50NZ at my door.
After wondering how it took the same time to get from one side of Auckland airport to my door as it did to get from South Dakota to NZ I happily unwrapped my new pressie. Bummer was they've sent me a long action not a short so my 1500 needs to stretch 1/2 an inch.
Does anyone know how long you have before you contact them regarding returns?
I'm loathe to put a saw through it and have to wait longer so my options are to flick it on or find a long action Howa (30 06 preferred) to put in it.

Good luck! Post up pictures and see if none on here wants it, otherwise it's out with the saw and send them a picture, had no problems after I did that.

Had 1/3 that I've ordered that worked out, one incoming so see what happens

I've had 2/3 so far. I'm still toying with the "need" I may have for a spare 30 06 for my spare 30 06. So they sort their mistakes ok then?

Yeah its a pain though as they only have one of each stock on their close out sales.

Don't worry cutting it in half only hurts for a few moments till you find a drink!

I'll send them a photo with a ruler on the action screws. A quick search of Tardme didn't bring much joy

Depends where you cut it I guess. Not the smartest way to do business since they end up paying for the frieght

I suppose it depends where you cut it. Be easy if you cut it through the fore end. Through the action not so easy.

If its a left hand thumbhole stock for a right hand action I'll take it.

We'll see, that's why I've posted. Seems a shame to cut a perfectly good stock.
Then a gain there may be some one wanting to get rid of an old Howa 30 06
