Are you local @johnd? I talked to the bloke this morning. Will be a few weeks before he can do anything and he has limited colours at the mo, black is no issue.

I'll PM you my number, give me a call and I can update you if you wish.

I've never had a problem with doing duracoat myself

Can you use high grade garnet or even soda? I have access to all three options but the garnet would be easier. Would be keen to try some at the booth.

Bit of a hijack (sorry @Gibo) but does anyone know of a DIY metal paint (an aerosol) that would do the job?

I'd degrees it really well then a good quality etch primer then top coat and leave in the sun to bake a bit I'm no expert but that's what I was thinking of doing

Ok. What are you planning on doing it on?
In case of a F***up is the etch primer and paint easily removable?

    Ok. Thanks.
I know nothing about the technicalities of coating metals but I assume there are other industries that do it on a regular basis with no problems. I can't imagine a rifle is anything special. After all, the paint doesn't know it is a firearm it is covering.
