Importing a bullpup stock from the states

    Hi guys.

Iv just received an email from Jim Bunting regarding a stock he makes

    Bill,

I have shipped one to Scotland and one to Australia so it can be done. It is not cheap though. The Australia one was $250.00 USD just in shipping costs. Currently I have a waiting list with over 210 names on it which means a wait of 18 months or so. Let me know if you want to be included.
I look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks again,

    Jim Bunting

    Subject: 10-22 bullpup stock

    Hi Jim

I am very impressed with your 10-22 stocks. that is exactly what I am looking for.

Small Issue, I live in New Zealand. would you be prepaired to sell me one and ship it over?

    Please and thankyou

    Cheers

Any Idea why it would cost 250 for freight?

I can't really see how it will be any more functional than the original unit, other than having heaps of rails to attach lasers, and torches.

Bill, if you want you can modify some airsoft guns to take a 10/22 if you want to sex it up. G36 an P90 conversions are common

If you call turning a 10/22 into a 10lb pig functional - then go for gold
Just end up with a shiny, square turd

I think a 10/22 would look better in one of these stocks

Just another point to consider Bill is the trigger. I have fired several bullpup weapon designs and not one had a trigger that could be worked to something reasonable. They requre and actuator arm by design and the flex and slop hinder a decent trigger. There may have been improvements but Id say they would still be shit compared to a standard 10/22 mech.

Considering the police consider them "undesirable" and the supposed shocking triggers on bullpups i wouldn't go there, but then again hell WHY not!! I was thinking of doing a bullpup SKS a while back but decided against it on the grounds of I want more AR's

yea a bullpup centerfire is on the cards later down the track. a short little 22 that I can compactly sling over my shoulder is what Im after.
Yea triggers are the complicated bit.
I was hoping to get something a little more robust than a airsoft plastic shell as I really do plan to use it but it is under consideration.
Its looking more and more like I will have to make something up myself

Looks heavy. Probably cost so much in shipping because he sent it Fedex or UPS or something.

Bullpups are cool. I really really want a DTA.
