Importing firearm parts from the US

Apologies if this has been asked, a quick search yeilded nothing conclusive.

I want to import a couple of shotgun parts from the states. A magpul Stock set, and some accessories for that stock set from one website. Then a trigger unit, and some bolt parts from another. The trigger set is Under the $100 threshold so I should be ok there, but the stock set is $129, so I need a permit. The Internet is rife with errors and I am thoroughly confused now. One website I am looking at tells me I need a permit, others say I do not need a permit for shotgun parts.

So how do I go about getting a permit to import, and secondly I heard a rumor that I now need an import permit from the NZ police for any gun parts that are imported is this correct? Do i need an import permit for the trigger set even though its under the $100 mark? I can't get this shit here or I would buy it here.

    TIA guys

Likely the US dealer will want all forms for the stock set, ie.

The original or a certified copy of your import
    certificate/permit

A written purchase order on your letterhead stationary; According
to the State Department the purchase order needs to include: the
foreign party end-user name and complete address.
Documented on the purchase order you will need to specify the type
of firearm, caliber, quantity, dollar value and make/model. The purchase
order must be directed to the dealer as the supplier/distributor.
If this information is not included the export license application will be denied. YOUR SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED.

End User Statement: Under the rules and regulations
by the US department as outlined by the International Traffic Arms
Regulations, ITAR, the dealer will need an end-user statement.
The end-user statement can be placed on your purchase order or sent on a
separate letterhead. YOUR SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED.
Forward the end-user statement along with your written purchase
order, import certificate/permit and if required, the DSP83 end-user
certificate. The DSP83 form and end-user statement are two different
documents required by US state department, thus ITAR.

    Exp.pdfExp.pdf

All documents must be mailed to the dealer. Original signatures are a
requirement of US Department of State; they will not accept fax or e-mailed copies.

The DSP83 Form is needed if your order contains an SME or regulated items:
US state department is now requiring a completed DSP83 form for any SME
    or regulated items.

NZ Customs will see them all as gun parts and demand a permit anyway, even if NZ Police say they are not required.

Just print the web page of the items ordered, go to the Police, get the import permit, keep a copy for customs and send one to the USA.

Mate has a bullpup SKS stock arriving next week hopefully, $300-ish bucks, no permits required by anyone.

Just digging this up. How did it all go. Were you able to import?
