Of more inportance than the scale of adjustment , ie the courseness , like 1/4 , 1/2 or 0.1mrad , is the actual turret design , and the available amount on one revolution , I like single turn or indicated double/multi turn knobs , as I donot work for NASA , easier to get lost by a rev or 2 on the others .

I think I'll have a 1-8x24 Ffp sometime next month to try on a 6.5x55 for an all rounder. Should be a decent system for actual hunting.

what about a Luepold Mark AR mod 1 3-9x40 - it's mil/mil and gotta be one of the lightest scopes in that size around
Being over gunned is under rated.

Have purchased a Leica ERi 2.5-10 x 42 to try out. Went with the plain 4a reticle with a locking elevation turret. Ticks the boxes that I was searching for. Mil adjustments, zero stop, illuminated centre dot. It does have a capped windage turret, but for the ranges I will be shooting (on a 6.5*47L) 90% of the time I will just hold for wind rather than dial. Adjustments are nice and positive (better than my Premier Light Tactical turrets) and 9 mil of up gives heaps of adjustment for the rifle.

    Turret locked

1/4 turn of bottom ring unlocks turret

Simple reticle with variable illumination (centre dot) auto on/off if scope is on greater than 70 degree angle (positive or negative)

You may want to look at the new Bushy , LRHS , its 3-12x44mm , and has a 10 mil exposed E knob , and a capped windage knob , side para , its meant to be very good , price is 1.5 K USD , go to snipershide to see it .

Did you import it or get it from Lacklands? I asked my local shop for a price and availability two months ago with no reply as yet!

    Reticule looks nice and fine.

Yeah got it locally (via Lacklands). I would be asking again as the majority are in stock at Lacklands & it only took a matter of minutes for my local to find out the details...

A mate is thinking about getting the 5-25 version to go on his 7mmRM for LR hunting. Be keen to hear your thoughts on it, particularly what the turrets are like and perceived reliability and repeatability
