    I have a takedown sporter version, made in 1915, all parts original as far as I can tell, except the barrel, which was badly damaged at the muzzle so I had it shortened to 22". Bluing is almost completely gone, the bore has some slight wear but it functions fine. I had fired (and slam-fired) it, with no issues. I bought it as I am intrigued by John Browning's design and it is a piece of history (99 years old at this point) but now I am saving for a deposit for a house so I am open to offers, possibly even a trade (on the look out for L1A1 mags)
