    Sako 75 or 85

Which would be the best action for a wsm. Find a good second hand 75 wsm with SM action or the 85

Both are very nice actions - and in a hunting scenario, you wouldn't really notice the difference. It all comes down to how deep you want to dip into your wallet and what is available if buying second hand. Best get something and go hunting.

Owned both, 85 action is improved and superior IMHO.

Could you share why and how you think it is improved and superior.
    Thanks

I've owned both as well, and controlled feed is the only difference that may make a difference in my opinion. Horses for courses of course - if you really want one or the other; you will get the action you want regardless of the science behind it.

Controlled feed, magasine latch that cannot drop out your mag or floorplate unintentionally like the bloody 75 does all the bloody time and an integral recoil lug.

Also Lighter and I believe as accurate, decent length barrels in the Finn

Only thing I prefer with the 75 is the stock shape, certainly not the weight of it.
Had many sako's over the years now only have two, both 85's.
I've never actually owned a 75, though I have held and shot a couple or more, that may also tell you something.
Guess it is a personal thing but that's my opinion.

75 has had no ejection issues where the 85 has particularly in the larger action sizes.
