That's a really good price if they do retail for that. I find it hard to believe though - stainless stalkers are still to get down to that price.

I see GC have put their prices up again on xbolts, robbing bastards. Yet cameron sports are still advertising them with a RRP of $1599 in the magazines. I was planning to get one next month but it won't be from GC. In fact I won't spend a razoo with them.

@Sidney the soft touch stock is over 1 kg from memory. I made carbon stock for an A7 and saved a pound (480ish grams )

That's right. The one you did for my A7 saved exactly one pound. Well worth the money.

The stock I did for Tahr was 550gr from memory. That had a 0.5" pachmayr recoil pad and a stainless steel recoil lug.
    Munsey and PERRISCICABA like this.

Say if I wanted a 1" pad and glass bedding for a Howa action, what sort of cost are we talking?

A7 vs Xbolt ? Neither would be my advice - save your coin, be patient and wait for a Sako 75 to come up for sale. Then grab one of the light weight CF stocks made locally do drop some weight out of it.
