My boys first roaring red stag

My boy loves hunting and being on the farm etc so I take him out as much as I can when its easily do-able. He first encountered a roaring red at about 12m whilst on my back, last year in a pine block. He was blown away, especially as he was only 10months old. So I took him out this evening for a little walk as he follows me slowly now. I spotted a stag from a few hundy so we quietly snuck in which seemed to take an hour or so haha, as he was roaring well. Got to about 80m of him and 8 or so hinds, he lay down beside me , not saying a word the whole time. Watched him roar for a minute or so then squeezed off the 300, he was pretty unsure as we approached him but after a few moments he was himself again. Henrys first little stag.....
And a chance to try my new swaro x5 on a animal haha

Wow you managed to stalk the deer with a little one so quiet
I don't think our daughter could handle not talking for more than 2min unless she had the iPad

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Wadda ya talking about @Scouser your left one you promised for that stag up at Rushy's Roost a couple of years ago and I think you lost the balancing one to the missus when you married a year later. So you're probably gonna have to find a way to clone a few more of them I reckon.

Nice stag for your wee fella. Just be bloody careful of his ears.

I have to have a regular audiogram for work, and a couple ago the woman doing it took a look and said to me 'you have been firing a high calibre rifle, haven't you?' I was a bit shocked as I really haven't fired many shots without hearing protection or a suppressor - just the odd time out hunting.

She went on to say that I could stuff my sons' hearing with a single shot (he was 9 at the time) as their ears are much more sensitive/delicate than ours. I am sure that you take adequate precautions, I'm just saying be careful.
