    Well done there never owned a single shot centrefire as for running Im happy with a fast walk now

    Single shot rifles work for me, bolt actions just confuse my brain

    There is a couple I have seen, One decent setup was about half way between Smiths and Tutuwai.

    The one I found was only about 20 minutes down stream from the bottom of the puffer, had bunks and a concrete fireplace/grill outside the hut, very well put together.

    There was a trapper living about 5 mins from the bottom of puffer at one stage. Not the first place I would take all that gear to set up a camp
