G'day everyone.

Im a 34 year old from Dunedin. Been hunting about 4 years or so, probably shoot 12 or so deer. I love getting out there but struggle to find the time.

Having not got out hunting enough for 2015, I've decided to create a blog to record all my hunting adventures for 2016, and push myself to achieve the following goals:

1: Fill the Freezer - currently empty as!! no Venison, pork or blue cod
2: Get out hunting a lot more - Hopefully at least once, or twice a month.
3 Shoot a decent stag! current personal best is a scrubby 8 point red
4: Shoot a fallow buck
5: Check out and explore some spots close to home - Recently got a game cam so keen to see what animals are around.
5: Improve my hunting skills - bush stalking, glassing, reading sign etc
6: Have a bloody awesome time!

Quick walk into the hills to recover Game Cameras for the first time - Local spot with low numbers, not a lot of sign around, but was keen as to get the camera and review the footage. This spot is only about 45mins away from home, I shot a fallow there a year or so ago and have seen another red and a few pigs

Game camera is a Moultrie A8, I put this up on boxing day and spooked a spiker when crashing through the bush looking for sign.
