    Gutted for you.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

I would of thought it would stand out? Not the norm for a Toyota ute. I know there are other's similar , but this one is not that common a colour, especially with the side stickers and snorkel. First thought, heading out of town, or a quick paint job. Hope you have success, and the bastards are caught.

Aye matey chuck it on the Huntsoc and Forsoc page so more people can share it around. I've seen that ute before last time I was in Ilam and I'll be sure to keep an eye out if I see it around the South Island while travelling soon!

I do hope I get it back because I have put quite a bit of work into it. But that's unlikely...........

Check out the wreckers in the vicinity. Could have been stolen for parts. There is a thriving trade in exporting motors transmissions etc for Toyota.I have a few vans parked up and am constantly bothered by people wanting to buy them for spares. Normally swarthy types with big grins and plenty of cash.

Chances are they actually might still be in the Ilam/Avonhead area. Loads of theives wreck through the Ilam Apartments all the time into cars, stealing batteries or stealing people's bikes - then people have actually gone for a wander round and found the places nearby with their stuff stashed in the yard. One chick ran onto someone's property and stole back her bike from their shed. Unfortunately police and security around there are slaaaaack as!

Yea, it does seem a joke. At least you found the guy, mine vanished without a trace. But that punishment is ridiculous, it would of cost them more to prosecute the guy and it does not cover what you would of had taken. I have heard nothing from the cops, and from what i have been told i am not expecting to here from them....

Were you hunting at a road end NZ32? Where were you when it got flogged?

Got a spot up here that we use to go hunting and this old fella lived at the car park, but he has moved on now. Don't feel like leaving my ute in the bush without someone watching it.Next time it will be drop me off and the boy and Mrs D will pick us up at nightfall.

Funny you say that.... last thing cop said " you'll only hear from us "IF" we make an arrest" and "you wont see your possesions again, here's a form for your insurance" !!!!
