    Deck wash intake.

Finally got me a boat lined up and looking to pick it up in a few weeks.
It has no deck wash and I want to fit one myself but I want to know where to scab the water from.
Anyone that uses one can you tell me where their intake is.
Looking at fitting a 40 psi pump inside the side storage.
Do what ya want! Ya will anyway.

put pump on transom above bottom of hull but below water line at rest, route hose threw with motor controls, or drill a big hole in the hull and hope for the best!

    Your talking intake right?
Pump will be out of sight but accessible in a storage well. At least thats my cunning plan.

If your thinking of using a bilge pump(probably the cheapest easiest option) it needs to be in the water it wont draw it up(centrifugal pumps that is) if you want to draw water up to the pump you are going to need a positive displacement type pump(gear,piston/diaphragm etc) which are generally more expensive and less tolerant of shit.

No. Planning on using a dedicated deck wash 40 psi pump (20ltrs/min) Just want to fit it myself.
Not cheap but way cheaper than getting one I priced, fitted.

ah well if it will draw water I would route hose out threw transom with motor controls and down to where mentioned above:thumbup:

But i have a dislike for drilling holes in hulls of fiz boats. only takes something to knock of fitting and your in the Shit by the time you notice the water around your ankles.

Thinking of an automatic bilge as well, as it will be moored or anchored in heavy rainfall from time ro time no doubt.
    But point taken.
Hose out through engine controls would look rude on this boat as they enter the hull on the starboard rear side, pretty high up.

Can't post pics as I technically do not own it yet.
Have a 7 1/2 hr one way drive to pick her up. Hopefully have good weather in Haast on my return trip so I can get out for a fish.

Maybe if someone from Nelson was driving?😂
It would take them at least that long scouting all the new talent that roams on the many farms you have to drive past.😆

Only if your boot was holding the accelerator thingy on the floor

you could get Abe to weld a alloy pipe on the back facing forward a few mm below the hull and have mega pressure and flow but only when planeing.
Or get him to route a alloy pipe up the back to above water line then threw transom and down to your pump.
    would be tidy and safe.
