Thread: Roof racks

Hi all,

I'm after some roof racks for my surf. Does anyone have any recommendations? Ones they've used, ones to avoid, easy ones to install etc.
Looking at going on a wee holiday with the family in a couple of months and will need some extra storage space. Don't wanna have to take the trailer.

I had proescape bars in the rails. Quite old. Aero shaped - quite good though.

Should be able to weld some pipe on the roof

Big thing is finding out what you intend to carry. If it is luggage you need a cage to go with the racks. May be easier to use a trailer, your Mrs other uncle has a gear trailer that doesn't get much use.
