    I think it might be a Gerber lock bolt. They had a sliding lock mechanism on the side up by the hinge where a right handers thumb would sit. My brother had one for years as his every day knife. Reckoned the steel was super hard and hard to sharpen but held an edge ages. He wore the blade out over a number of years.
