Yep pretty good I could of left all spare clothes and tent behind as it didn't rain!

From that original list I didn't end up taking kuiu pants and switched the guide jacket for the kennai jacket.

You will use less gas than you think but only takes one time leaving it turned on and you will be in the shit. Think I used 250 grams for the 10 days or thereabouts

I drew whitewater third period but have had to hand it back this year.

    Good luck

no spare clothes, check, it'll be bluebird days with light rain overnight this year to freshen things up!!!!, yeah right.

first time doing 10 days on our backs, which means heavy packs. we cooking out of the one firemarple so im thinking 3 x gas will be plenty, (taking spare BRS stove as back up).

food is the next item and im currently in the kitchen with every available surface covered in glad bags and food!!

how did you find your food go on your last trip,

    my draft food plan

breakfast: museli/ milk powder/ protein mix

snacks and lunch: snicker , one square meal, jet planes, (for my sweet tooth) , maybe pics peanut butter sachet if i can stomach them, salami stick and cheese stick (stolen off you), dried fruits, shapes biscuits

dinner: alternate between kaweka meal + instand mash and ramen bomb (noodles/ mash and tuna pocket), add freeze dry peas to meals

drinks: instant mocha 1 x day and energy drinks 2 x day

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWMXrwUFd6c found this vid from kuiu on food

gonna love the sight of mash potoato after this trip!!

    cheers!!

Definitely take a spare cooker mate. Weigh nothing and they do crap out as I have found on my first trip in. We had our own cooking setups

One trick to speed breakfst up; premix your muesli and powdered milk, pour in warm (not hot you will melt plastic.... Found that out) water into ziplock bag, eat then fold zi lock bag into trash bag and our done

Cheers guy, yeah I'm taking a spare cooker ( brs stove ) which weighs nothing,
Already been shown the all in one glad bag museli trick which is what I use these days, add a slice of dried mango to each bag, bloody beauuutiful.

I'll post up my gear and food in a week or so,
Went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I couldn't find any.

Sometimes when I’m not that hungry I put 1/2 of the 2 serves meal into my cooker/cup rehydrate with water a hour then cook add some extra dehydrated peas and potatoe flake at the end when ready to thicken it up. Then next day use the other 1/2 serve meal in the packet as normal.
I’m addicted to coffee 4 a day type of person.

That BRS cooker is a good backup or for a middays brew.
