    Garmin rino 750

Has any one got one of these and managed to set it up with another so you can see a mate?
Me and some buddies bought some and can't get the location thingie working

You will have to have the UHF radio turned on, and on the same channel (make sure you can hear each-other). You will then have to each accept each-other's device contact requests, I believe, at which point your location should then update each time you activate the radio.

If you also allow polling (I think that is the name of the setting) then your radio can be pinged for a location anytime from your mates either when they use the radio, or hit the wee signal button just above the push-to-talk button. Probably a good setting to have enabled, as it would in theory allow you to find a dropped unit, or worst-case, an unconscious/unresponsive mate.

Yeah we've done all that, can talk to each other, it just doesn't poll locations of even let us add contacts

Try a different channel... maybe 10 or something. I believe that some channels don't allow data transmission.
