That's a great price and delivery time, my Tibet's will only last another 6 months before I need a new pair.

Did you not have to pay NZ tax and duties?

Total cost was under $400. That is still the limit for duty?

The limit is when the total duty and GST to be collected exceeds $60. So if there is no duty to be collected then the limit is $400. (gst of $60)
They also add that bullshit $50 bio security and customs levies. Silly system that encourages people to try cheat it.

Thanks for the link @stug. I too have ordered some Lowas. I called them to be certain the sizes were UK. Got a German call centre. Very friendly and helpful. Said he was getting a lot of enquiries from NZ . I used PayPal and was about $10 more. Maybe should have just plugged them onto the Visa but then the bank will take a conversion charge from that so unsure which way would have been cheaper.

Why are you getting Lowas? You're used to hunting in slippers😆

Bank conversion charge has always been cheaper whenever I've done it, usually 1/3 paypal/amazon charge

$16 wasn't worth losing sleep over but I will remember if there is a next time.

Which pair of Lowa's would you recommend for S.I Tahr hunting etc? My Scarpas got smashed, prefer to keep them for bush use.
