    I just use stick or a rock to push the blade off easy as.

    Personally just use fingers.
    Pop the back of blade off with fingertip and slide on/off holding blade on the spine , not really possible to cut oneself as fingers not touching cutting edge.
    Frankly , I'm more likely to cut myself using the bloody thing as I have already discovered
