    Kuiu Yukon= awesomeness.
40 000/40 000 mm/gm, not many out there can beat that. Packs down alright too.

its a gimmick, this cotton/velvet shit holds water, gets heavy and wont breathe as well as a normal nylon outer/membrane jacket. about the only thing its good at is saving your ass when sliding down a scree on it.

I can understand if all you ever are exposed to is, must wear a "hunting" jacket to go hunting in but seriously, there are other brands which make gear that is a shit load more durable and functional with shit loads more r&d put into them to make them a good product.

have a look on the net and see all the bad reviews about how shit those hunters element coats are
so you have sold that stoney creek one then??

I don't know about the jackets they make, but I bought a pair of their hunting pants and I reckon they are by far the best on the market. The Hydrapel trouser in Veil camo.

I tried a pair of their trousers and they would have to have been the worst cut trousers I have EVER worn. They were so bad I even emailed them asking if they had made a mistake.
The crotch was so long you had two options, either pull the waist up to just shy of your armpits or do the things up with a belt so the band was on your hips but waddle around in the bush like you'd just shat your pants. I asked if they thought crumping in the bush was a new trend they were planning to market.
You must have elephant junk to fit these pants!

Shit just thought a bit harder and the pants in question may have been Stoney Creek not Hunter Element.

I have the new HE over trousers and the cut on them is crap. But they are an over trouser. Needed the medium for the smaller waste but the large for the length. Ended up getting the medium and once the gaitors are on over the legings they were fine. Breathed really good and comfortable to walk all day in both heat and cold. Just wore shorts underneath.

The HE Extreme Hunter jacket has had good reviews from the people i have talked to who have the new model. Tried one on the other day and the fit/cut is really good.
Hunting is not a hobby.....its an addiction

gona do a tahr trip sometime this year and did a search on the kuiu Yukon vs the Sitka equivalent and a lot of people seemed to rate the Yukon as being a bit tougher than the sitka and at a cheaper price and from memory something like twice as breathable as anything else
