    Macpac cascade or Tatonka bison

Hey I'm looking for feedback on the merits of each. Am after a good 75ltr pack for hunting and tramping.
I do like the sheer simplicity of the cascade but have no experience with Macpac . I've had a few Tatonka and had good experiences but at this price point I want to get it right.

    Love feedback..

I got a 90L Macpac Cascade on clearance sale for $190 maybe 3 or 4 years ago, I would buy again for full price knowing what I know now.

I'd rate a Torre over a cascade. I have a cascade thats nearly 25 years old but my Torre goes for walkies now. Good solid pack.

Cheers for the feedback , gives me something to think about. I am leaning towards the classic simplicity of the Cascade. Cactus are great and similar to Macpac. I did drop into their new Welly store to have a look.

I got 12 or 13 years of fairly solid use out of a Cascade before retiring it to backup duty with some fraying strap stitching (fixable really) and getting an Ascent.

Wouldn't necessarily expect the same longevity from new Macpac stuff though, they're still decent but not like they used to be. Cactus gear will last longer and take more abuse.

Used the Cascade for the NW circuit, left with a little over 40kg in it for 2+ weeks couldn't fault it for the whole trip and a few since them

Great feedback thanks. Made me look at the durability of the Tatonka in NZ bush vs the well proven Kiwi competition.
