    Hmm..
Funny you should say that... Ive just had 3 wks in the Arctic Circle using a Jetboil on Jetboil branded gas.
Couldnt find a mix on the can, but Google says its 80% isobutane, 20% propane - so a normal mix
It was the BEST can Ive ever used!
Got 29 boils out of the 230gm can (tally on bottom) and left it behind with a mate with prob 7-10 left in it
Was left in the snow and on frozen ground most of the time.

    FWIW

    Brunton/Kovea: 0% n-butane, 70% isobutane, 30% propane
    Coleman: 60% n-butane, 0% isobutane, 40% propane
    Primus: 70% n-butane, 10% isobutane, 20% propane
    MSR IsoPro: 0% n-butane, 80% isobutane, 20% propane
    JetPower (Jetboil): 0% n-butane, 80% isobutane, 20% propane

Does anyone know how our LPG compares with this? I was under the impression that the LPG had a slightly higher % of propane, but not sure if it runs n-butane or isobutane.

Yea I always try to buy the 80/20 mixes rather than the standard ones like kovea. As when your in snow kovea won't boil water

Is it worth the hassle for saving $8? For 30x + boils on a Jetboil for example?
I mean the pie you buy on the way to you hunting spot is worth twice what your cooking gas costs are. LOL

What do you do with 20 odd 1/4 full canisters tho?
On about day 6 of a fiordland trip I thought "what the heck is in that bucket,we havent even opened it" so I opened it. My mate had flown in a 20l bucket full of 1/2-1/4 full cans!!!
I left a bloody 18 pack of 440mls behind to save room ffs. No not one of them was used and yes they were all flown back out.
