we went out last avo but ofcourse the wheather cleared and the southerly didnt showwas interesting tho to find a 8ft deep and 15 foot wide trench where our road used to be go the mighty rakaia and the canes
ive given up on the 3 inch fiocchi 2,s and now use their 2 3/4 32 gram load[2,s] as my flarer and longer shot load out of a modified choke.

i mostly use NSI 20 ga from mai mai supplies, just the target loads 7.5 for quail, these kill well out to a good range and will kill ducks pond shooting.pheasants i will use 5's.yes you do not want to push too heavier load out through a 20 ga. 24gm gives a good pattern.if i had fixed chokes i would shoot everything with imp. cyl. and modified. never shot 3 inch,i have a 12 ga if i want to go down that track.the 20ga is an elegant, lovely weapon than makes you feel more precise when taking a bird.

picked up some 3 inch blackcloud 20 gauge steel today in the only shotsize available 2,s scrapped up 3 boxes out odf jaffaland. should be okay on geese swans and further out parries . not looking forward to trying it on ducks tho after my experience with larger shotsize steel in the 12.specs are 3 inch shell 1 ounce steel 2,s at a claimed velocity of 1350 ft per sec.
