    feeding ducks

Any tip or old threads for feeding ducks.going to feed a pond a bit out from the usual flight lines. Are those wire nosloc things any good for getting the first few ducks then start feeding with the automatic feeder rather than having the auto feeder and having a lot of wast. the pond usually has ducks on it after opening and gets jumped shot. it did have the a couple of grays on it today.

The wire nosloc ones are crap. You end up with split grain everywhere from all manner of animals using it. Also the wind can make it wobble.
I would suggest getting an auto one and seeing it up for one feed intially then set it for longer or for more times

Year we already have a auto feeder. Is it worth feeding a pond after opening if u don't shoot it until 6 weeks after opening

Of course it is. Assuming it's left alone and undisturbed for six weeks. Set the feedtime for just after dawn. I do about 4 seconds. Works for us.
