 No matter how manly a man you are ducklings are cute:P
Saw some baby pooks yesterday. Havent seen any ducklings yet, but unfortunately a few hens dead on the roads about the place, so they must be nesting.
I suppose one good thing about all this bloody rain is that ponds and rivers are full when the ducks started nesting.
They seem too have an average of 13 eggs in a clutch

Jess found this nest, just hope the predators stay away.
if you are taking your dog to the area's they are nesting you may as well stomp on those eggs.
If it is the same clutch then there are already three missing Dundee. Have you got some happy looking hawks around the place?
puke's seem to devestate them pretty well.... sadly, I wonder being that one's not allowed to shoot puke's in some area's if it would be legal to trap them in live capture traps and then just go release em in a park?
New clutch Rushy, big bloody eels could be taking the young ones also.:sick:of the bloody predators! That first clutch I saw haven't seen them since:(But the duck nest Jess found is still sitting:thumbsup:
hmmm,I'll grab 100 rounds for the AR and go do my bit on the weekend
I do my best too pull them out of the ponds but the ponds are full now:D
