I'm lacking in that department now .I think it's 600 w. I need to up it to a 1 kw . Mine currently maxes out at 250ish, with poor detail at that . Didn't ever think I'd be fishing past 150 mts when I purchased

I can help you find fish at 1300+ meters but you might have a little wee when you get the price

A 1Kw transducer would help but it was a lot of coin then and the prices have just gone up. About 1500+Gst retail now I see.
Also the physical size of the thing makes it work like a trim tab on smaller boats

iv got an airmar tm260 matched to a furuno 585
I thaught my socks would be blown off going from a lowrance elite7 hdi
    its pretty underwelming

my lowrance done up to 400m with the standard tranny

my new one will do 720ish if its calm, seldom is it ever calm out that wide
its good but I thought for the money going in I was going to get something wow

so before you go spend mega, play with your settings on your current one
put it on 50hz for deep use
    play with the sensitivity settings
dont be scared to play as you can just revert to factory settings if things arnt looking like they use to

Yeah for sure. Takes time looking at it and catching shit to make the connection.

TVG has a big effect down deep. TM260 is a good transducer whether it be on a lowrance, simrad or furuno. Finding the bottom and seeing fish at depth are two totally different things
