We always had trouble with the navigators. They screwed up a lot.i and others have landed in some strange places😆 Pilots were all good.

No dick fight at all. 1st battalion was very jealous of us Mexicans.

They were called 1st battalion but we always won the Frey berg, Rugby, league, and every other sport including the skill at arms far to consistently for their liking.

They were good a drill, parades and looking nice tho😆

    Bukit is a good bastard.
But yeah I know what ya mean.😆
I was told he was unwell recently.

And yeah I couldn't land for shit, even with the T10 D😆

They reckoned if I got up and walked away, the DZ was ok for co-ordinated people😆

Yeh, can't deny that, top bloke.
Bugger, I see him from time to time, will ask around.

The three amigos - Bukit, Jason Ducre and Paul Mumm, the funniest buggers I've ever met

Memory lane seems to turn onto a long winding road.

It can have a tendency to do that with old soldiers GM. For fuck sake don't mention gunners and bombardiers to these grunts.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

I won't mention them then Rushy.

If I hadn't buggered myself up at the start of high school I would likely have been one.

When we remiss, it is only the good times we discuss. Rarely do we remember the bad times.

Yeah your right. The other ranks made the services. Rarely did you ever run into a good rupert.😆

Was working (hahaha) as a motorcycle race mechanic in Melbourne, preparing a bike for the Adelaide 3-hour Production Meeting at AIR. ( Does that track still exist?). Pity those times are long gone.
Best memory is that Mick Hone supported us, Robbie Phillis was racing, and it was a lovely day. I did some work on the bike, on the trailer in the motel carpark, until about 11pm then went in to town men, had a few beers and fell asleep at the rail around the dancefloor. Cops were kind enough to find the car for me, and let me drive " do NOT deviate or we will lock you up till after th race". back to the motel. Is it just age, or was it really better 25 years ago? I won't even think about the kiwi arsehole flatmate who stole about $20k worth of tools and stuff. Oh, he left the fridge with some piss still in it, so no biggie. Jeeziz, 25 years! What happened to it all?
