Doing a drive around about a month ago with gadgette#2 to show her where I grew up in this little town. 4 of the 5 churches that my siblings and I got married in are gone.

Haven't heard that term (press buttons) for a long time. Bit of an honour having Keith Elliott as the rev.
We got hitched in an Anglican church. I was definitely a heathen (practicing bush baptist) and our minister refused to marry us until I was baptised. Them were the days.

Knew Keith well through my father in law, went to his military funeral, tuning late to catch the plane out of Christchurch. When I explained to the desk I was going to Keith's funeral the Captain re opened the door on the 737 and I was told to run as fast as I could. Got on the plane and if looks could have killed! Every passenger was staring daggers, felt like a politician! Wouldn't happen today!

Hey @HNTMAD, 72 is the year of my car, I was born in 82. Went to Lansdowne, Hiona and Waicol. Went to Wellington for a bit but settled back in Masterton to start a family and enjoy life.

The car was a better year that you! You could have a great lifestyle in Masterton, we had a small holding out at Evans Rd, just passed the Fernridge School before we moved north!

Fifty years ago I can vaguely remember my 36 Ford Y and a hot chick, but the old brain has so many great memories, they blur together, even switching it off and on doesn't reset it. I need an external hard drive!

I call bullshit Maca. Fifty years ago you would have only had three things you gave a toss about. Rooting, rugby and racing your Ford against your mates.
